We, Sri
Sathya Sai Alumni of Assam (under Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Assam and NE) dedicate
our free Medical
Camp for the Flood affected people of Assam to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Swami immensely blessed us and gave us
the strength to fully immerse ourselves in the bliss of service to society.
The
Alumni, in association with Excel Care Hospitals, Guwahati and Guwahati Medical
College and Hospital, Guwahati along with the dedicated efforts of the NGO, Moriyan Social Group,
conducted the Medical Flood Relief drive in
Salmara Paam in Morigaon District, Assam on 27th August, 2017. The
camp was set up at the Salmara LP School.
A team of 31 specialist doctors
examined more than 500 patients including children,
elderly people, women and men who complained of numerous health issues due to
the devastating floods. Prominent doctors from Guwahati Medical College &

We are immensely
grateful to all the doctors from Gauhati Medical College & Hospital and
Excel Care Centre for giving their services. Free medicines were distributed to the
affected people. The prescribed medicines were distributed to the patients free
of cost by a pharmacy team from
Excel Centre. Also, crucial health care advise were provided to them by
the specialists. Clothes were also distributed to the local population.
The team was also joined
by volunteers from different field who rendered their service. The NGO boys
from the Moriyan
Social Group organised the event locally and made
every effort to manage the event meticulously. We are also thankful to Ward
Member Shri Maghram Bordoloi who was present at the camp, assisting the
villagers.
Salmara
was one of the worst flood affected areas of Assam and the village was inundated till a few days back. The people are still
trying to stand up to normalcy as the fury of nature has left them devastate.
Many water borne diseases have affected them and they are likely to benefit
from the medicines provided at the camp. We indeed feel blessed to be able to
contribute our bit in helping the people come in terms with such harsh reality.
Love
All; Serve All. Sairam !

Kudos to Sri Sathya Sai Alumni of Assam and their associates for prompt Medicare services rendered to the disadvantaged section of society affected by recent floods in Morigaon district...
ReplyDeleteMay i bring to notice that I'm Dr. Digjam Sarma and i had attended the camp as a PRCA and not Dental department as mentioned. If possible please help me by correcting it as I'm not allowed to edit this page. The camp was a liberating experience for me and if possible i would like to attend the camp once more. :)
